Scrum and Kanban have been the two traditional Agile practices which has been depicted as successful in enhancing software development processes, while each has its own drawbacks when implemented in software IT industry and put into practice individually. Scrum enforces sprint, roles, ceremonies, and load calculation which can occasionally result in overhead and rigidity. Although Kanban is flexible and having constant flow, it might not include task batching or structured prioritization. The research challenge of optimising the productivity of the software development lifecycle by integrating both of these strategies into a hybrid framework called the Scrumban. Methodologically, it synthesizes findings from industry case studies, scholarly literature, and real-world implementation addressing workflow visualization, work-in-progress (WIP) limits, sprint process and team role definitions. The study explores how Scrumban mitigates the drawbacks of its earlier models with increasing productivity, resource use, and deliver quality. Scrumban will serve as a hybrid framework to enhance the entire software development lifecycle, as evidenced by real-world use cases and KPIs such as execut...

RADIATION HARDNESS OF INTEGRATED CIRCUITS: ESSENTIAL CONSIDERATIONS FOR SPACE APPLICATIONS

Giulia Barbieri
The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovations and Research
Published: 01 Apr 2024
Article Info DOI Crossref
View Abstract
Radiation poses significant challenges to the reliability and performance of integrated circuits (ICs) deployed in space applications. The harsh space environment exposes ICs to various types of ionizing radiation, including solar particle events, cosmic rays, and trapped radiation belts, which can induce transient and permanent damage to semiconductor devices. Understanding the effects of radiation on ICs is essential for designing robust and reliable spaceborne electronics. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the radiation effects on ICs, including single-event effects (SEEs), total ionizing dose (TID) effects, and dose rate effects. Strategies for mitigating radiation-induced failures, such as radiation-hardened design techniques and radiation testing methodologies, are also discussed. By addressing the essential considerations for radiation hardness in ICs, this paper aims to facilitate the development of reliable electronics for space missions.

This study presents a comparative analysis of ecological restoration methods employed to rehabilitate mining sites, focusing on the Fushun and Pingshuo mining areas in China. Given the significant environmental degradation which has resulted from the mining activities. Effective restoration strategies are essential for enhancing biodiversity and ecological integrity. This research evaluates changes in vegetation cover and environmental health at both sites while employing metrics such as the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and land cover classification utilizing remote sensing techniques. This study addresses three primary objectives which are: assessing vegetation recovery post-restoration, analyzing soil and water quality improvements, and comparing the effectiveness of various restoration methods. Preliminary findings indicate that while both sites have achieved notable vegetation recovery, differences in restoration techniques, regulatory frameworks, and environmental conditions influence outcomes. This research takes into account the important role of remote sensing in monitoring restoration success and informs best practices for future ecological restoration in...

This systematic literature examines the relationship between organizational climate and occupational stress among female faculty in Indian Higher Education. The study also identifies workplace factors that increase stress and how organizational climate affects well-being of female faculty in higher education institutions. Research articles published from 2014 and 2025 were collected from Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar and PubMed. After screening the studies, 32 research papers were selected for the review. The findings showed that a negative organizational climate increases occupational stress among female faculty members. Major causes of stress included heavy workload, limited involvement in decision-making, poor recognition and problems in managing work-life balance. The review also found that female faculty working in supportive work environment experienced lower stress, better job satisfaction and stronger commitment to their institutions. Positive leadership, healthy workplace relationships and opportunities for professional growth helped improved overall well-being. Designing a Reliable, Ultra-Low Latency Data Access Environment for Real-Time Applications in Modern Data Centers

Ajay Prasad
The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovations and Research
Published: 28 Jul 2025
Article Info DOI Crossref
View Abstract
Achieving ultra-low latency (ULL) with end-to-end delays of 1–5 milliseconds is vital for real-time applications such as high-frequency trading, autonomous vehicles, and personalized e-commerce. This study defines latency as the time from initiating a data processing task to receiving its result, proposing a holistic approach to ULL through optimized hardware, software, and network components. Latency is broken down into network, I/O, processing, queuing, application, and security factors, reducing the standard ~19 ms latency to below 5 ms with targeted enhancements. Key strategies leverage high-performance hardware (NVMe SSDs, FPGAs, GPUs), low-latency interconnects (InfiniBand with RDMA), and efficient software. A real-time fraud detection scenario handling 10,000 concurrent queries per second is analyzed, detailing tiered technology stacks. The study contrasts networking protocols, emphasizing InfiniBand’s sub-microsecond latency advantage for ULL, and demonstrates feasibility with edge infrastructure, dedicated instances, and RDMA-enabled NVMe-oF. This framework offers practical guidance and cost estimates for 2025 ULL implementations, acknowledging that actual latency, perform...

Assessing the Impact of Climate Change Induced Flooding on Human Security in Nigeria’s Middle Belt

Augustine I. Wonor, Gloria Chigbu, Maryjane Y. Oghogho, O.M.C Osazuwa
The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovations and Research
Published: 01 Mar 2026
Article Info DOI Crossref
View Abstract
Climate change has exacerbated flooding in Nigeria’s Middle Belt, resulting in a complex human security crisis that extends beyond environmental degradation. The issue is rooted in the ongoing failure of governance systems and local institutions to address the socio-economic and health impacts of recurring floods, which consistently undermine livelihoods and human well-being. This study analyses the impact of flooding on various dimensions of security, including economic, food, health, environmental, personal, community, and political aspects within the region. Utilising the UNDP (1994) Human Security framework, this study employs a qualitative design that involves document analysis of thirty-six institutional reports, policy papers, and peer- reviewed studies from 2020 to 2025. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify recurring patterns and interconnections among the impacts of flooding. The findings indicate that flooding adversely affects livelihoods, disrupts food systems, facilitates the spread of disease, degrades ecosystems, displaces populations, fractures communities, and highlights significant governance deficiencies. Vulnerability is characterised by intersectionality...

Peas are superior to many legumes in their nutritional value and contain 20.1-32.4% protein. The amino acids in peas are unique in that they eliminate various harmful and pathological factors in the human body. Growth, development, yield, and yield quality of 75 pea cultivars were studied in dryland conditions. Based on field experiments, it was studied that the genetic characteristics of pea cultivars grown in light grey soils depend on local conditions. From the studied samples, 14 samples with high results compared to the control variant were selected. The yield of the selected samples was 4.4 centners higher than the control variant.
