Psychovisual Effects of Camera Shake: When and Why It Works

Herasymiuk Heorhii
The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovations and Research
Published: 01 Dec 2025
Article Info DOI Crossref
View Abstract
This paper examines the psychovisual effects of camera shake and their influence on viewer perception across various media. The study aimed to systematically investigate the psychovisual mechanisms of shaky-cam and determine the conditions under which it is effective as an expressive device in cinema, immersive, and gaming media. To this end, a comprehensive analysis of neurovisual and physiological experiments was conducted, alongside a comparative review of historical and contemporary cinematographic cases, and an overview of industry reports on image stabilization trends. The relevance of the work is justified by the convergence of two opposing market trends: the ubiquitous adoption of hardware stabilization, which renders smooth imagery the default, and the growth of immersive formats, where deliberate camera shake serves to enhance presence and dramatic tension. Of particular significance is the balance between psychological immersion and the risk of visually induced motion sickness in VR and 360° video. The novelty of the study lies in its interdisciplinary approach, which combines fMRI data on cortical MT/MST activity, EEG studies of the motor cortex, measures of sympathetic...

A Zero Trust Security Framework for Broadcast Networks: Mitigating Ransomware and Insider Threats in Live Media Operations

Ashish Bhatti
The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovations and Research
Published: 01 Dec 2025
Article Info DOI Crossref
View Abstract
Broadcast networks face serious cybersecurity challenges that standard enterprise security cannot solve. Recent ransomware attacks prove this point clearly. Sinclair Broadcast Group lost $74 million when attackers hit 185 TV stations across 86 U.S. markets in 2021. Channel Nine in Australia went offline for 24 hours, forcing live shows to relocate. These attacks show how vulnerable broadcast infrastructure really is. Media organizations run 24/7 operations with real-time content delivery and complex equipment from multiple vendors. This creates perfect targets for ransomware and insider threats that can shut down live programming and steal sensitive content. Zero Trust Architecture works well in business environments. But no existing frameworks address broadcast-specific needs. Media companies remain exposed to attacks that target production systems, automated servers, and distribution networks. This research creates the first Zero Trust framework built specifically for broadcast networks. It combines proven security principles with broadcast threat modeling. The framework protects live production workflows, content integrity, and meets regulatory requirements. The methodology empl...

Technological And Physicochemical Aspects of Blending Cottonseed and Safflower Oils

Akramova Rano Ramizitdinovna, Turabjanov Sadriddin Makhamatdinovich
The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovations and Research
Published: 01 Dec 2025
Article Info DOI Crossref
View Abstract
This article examines the technological and physicochemical aspects of blending cottonseed and safflower oils to produce oil compositions with improved consumer and functional properties. The relevance of the study is due to the growing interest in the creation of modified vegetable fat systems with an optimal fatty acid composition, high biological value, and increased resistance to oxidative degradation. The paper analyzes the influence of various ratios of cottonseed and safflower oils on their physicochemical parameters, including acid and peroxide values, iodine value, refractive index, color characteristics, thermal stability, and polyunsaturated fatty acid content. Particular attention is paid to the technological aspects of the blending process: temperature regime, stirring intensity, degree of homogenization, and mixture stability during storage. It was found that the addition of safflower oil, rich in linoleic acid, improves the fatty acid profile and organoleptic properties, while cottonseed oil enhances the oxidative stability and heat resistance of the resulting blend. Optimal oil proportions allow for a balance between stability and nutritional value, as well as impro...

Use of Artificial Intelligence in Predictive Maintenance for Marine Engineering

Igor Astrakhovych
The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovations and Research
Published: 01 Jan 2026
Article Info DOI Crossref
View Abstract
In the present study a comprehensive investigation of the potential for integrating artificial intelligence methods into the predictive maintenance system of marine machinery is conducted. The application of AI in this context emerges as one of the key factors contributing to the enhancement of reliability and safety in shipping. The aim of the study is to compare the performance of various machine learning and deep learning algorithms based on an analysis of contemporary scientific publications. As a result of the comparative analysis a multifactorial methodology for selecting the most suitable model has been developed taking into account not only prediction accuracy but also the volume and quality of the input data computational costs and the transparency of the obtained conclusions. It is shown that hybrid approaches — in particular when convolutional neural networks are used for feature extraction from vibration and acoustic signals and LSTM networks are used for time series analysis — demonstrate the highest accuracy in predicting the remaining useful life of critically important equipment (main engines generators etc.). The scientific novelty of the work lies in the proposal ...

Evolution of Applicant Tracking Systems: From Databases to Intelligent Platforms

Mykhailo Petrenko
The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovations and Research
Published: 01 Jan 2026
Article Info DOI Crossref
View Abstract
The paper examines the transition of applicant tracking systems (ATS) from record-keeping databases to intelligent decision-support platforms grounded in representation learning and modular architectures. The study synthesizes peer-reviewed findings on semantic resume–job matching, learning-to-rank pipelines, human-in-the-loop re-ranking, and governance practices for fairness and auditability. Particular attention is paid to latency-aware MLOps, API-first interoperability, and explanation surfaces that restore recruiter control while compressing screening cycles. The analysis aligns these capabilities with persistent U.S. hiring frictions—screening workload, time-to-shortlist, and cost-per-hire—showing where embedding-based triage and event-driven integration yield measurable improvements in throughput and shortlist quality. The article proposes a product blueprint: fidelity-preserving parsing, domain-tuned encoders, hybrid re-rankers, continuous bias and drift monitoring, and evented integration with enterprise HR stacks. The discussion outlines risk–control mappings (bias, drift, opacity, load) and operational metrics for evaluation. Findings inform platform designers, HR leaders...
