The article examines the use of on-set editing as a modern technology for real-time video editing. Current trends in video production demand fast yet high-quality processing of footage directly on set, driven by the increasing volume of content, significant acceleration of production workflows, and the growing need for adaptability. The relevance of this topic is supported by advancements in automated editing technologies, improvements in video processing algorithms, and an increased focus on the importance of pre-editing preparation. However, contradictions are observed in scientific publications and online reviews between algorithmic approaches aimed at automation and traditional theoretical concepts that emphasize narrative logic and artistic editing principles.

The objective of this study is to analyze the specific features and nuances of on-set editing as a tool for real-time editing, considering its technical implementation, creative potential, and organizational-production aspects. The study identifies key advantages, including the acceleration of post-production, cost reduction in material reprocessing, and improved coordination between the production and editing teams.

FOR A RADICAL CHANGE IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Lin Fan, lavanchawee sujarittanonta, John C. Walsh

Our research has emerged from a passion for higher education. We also feel an urge to radically change it for the better. An increasingly dense literature has documented the harmful effects of screens on concentration and learning. With the emergence of the Internet, early hopes of a universal knowledge-sharing community have been shattered by the greed of companies competing for attention in the cognitive market. The Internet only mirrors the true nature of a humanity that is more interested in distraction than self-development. In this context, youth is particularly vulnerable to the lure of entertainment for its own sake. Based on years of teaching experience and the observation that screens make people stupid, we have developed an experimental design that bans them from the classroom. Teaching relies on the oratory skills of the teacher and true (rather than virtual) communication with students. Interactivity and learning do not require advanced technical artefacts such as videos or games, but quality storytelling and rhetorics - an art of conversation teachers should return to. We have witnessed extraordinary results following this “old school” method which will hopefully beco...

The existing basic methods of studying the propagation of seismic-explosive waves in various mining-geological and morphological conditions to assess the impact of explosions on buildings and structures are briefly outlined. The results of studying the effect of the influence of the terrain on seismic vibrations during the passage of seismic explosive waves in them are presented. The issues of organizing experiments in full-scale field conditions, the time of which entirely depends on the time of drilling and blasting operations, are highlighted, which significantly slows down the stages of design, construction and operation of buildings and structures. Along with various explosions, as well as existing expensive installations and stands that create artificial vibrations for buildings and structures, it is offered detonation method for creating vibrations in the ground, both in design and construction, so and in the operation of buildings and structures. The detonation method proposed by the authors for creating artificial ground vibrations using a gas detonation unit makes it possible to simplify and accelerate the experiments and reduces labour and material costs.

In the study, an analysis was carried out of the impact of the implementation of unified standards on production parameters and clinical outcomes of ART laboratories. The aim was to elucidate how the systematic application of detailed standard operating procedures (SOP), multilevel quality control (QC) mechanisms and regular staff training programs is reflected in key performance indicators (KPI). The results demonstrate that the standardized approach ensures a reduction in procedural variability and a decrease in the frequency of operational errors which, in turn, leads to an increase in the fertilization rate, an increase in the proportion of formed blastocysts and a growth in the probability of achieving clinical pregnancy. On the basis of the obtained data it is concluded that standardization serves not as a formal administrative measure but as a fundamental basis for guaranteeing a high level of quality and safety of embryological manipulations and is also a necessary condition for the integration of prospective innovative technologies including artificial intelligence systems. The presented materials will be useful for directors of ART clinics, embryologists, quality control ...

When assessing the level of energy efficiency of civilian buildings, a special place is given to establishing the level of thermal protection of their external enclosing structures. Significant discrepancies in the results of theoretical and experimental studies of heat fluxes through the outer walls of buildings erected in seismic areas are associated with the design features of fences - the presence of reinforced concrete elements in them: anti-seismic belts at the level of floors, cores at intersections of walls and along the edges of large window openings ... In addition, in recent years, external walls have become widespread, which are filling of bricks or aerated concrete blocks between the main structural elements of the frame - monolithic reinforced concrete columns and crossbars. The introduction of reinforced concrete elements into the structure of the external wall fencing provides strength, rigidity and stability of buildings, guarantees its seismic resistance. At the same time, reinforced concrete inclusions are significant “cold bridges” in warmer brick or aerated concrete masonry. Such heat engineering heterogeneity of earthquake-resistant outer walls significantly ...

From Broadcast to Conversation: How Live Streaming Redefines Audience Engagement in the Creator Economy

Ilia Davydov
The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovations and Research
Published: 16 Apr 2026
Article Info DOI Crossref
View Abstract
The proliferation of live streaming platforms has fundamentally altered the architecture of interaction between content creators and their audiences. Where traditional media operated on a one-way transfer of information from producer to passive consumer, live streaming establishes a qualitatively different communicative environment — synchronous, dialogic, and structurally dependent on audience participation. This paper examines the mechanisms of this transformation within the context of the creator economy, analyzing how the interactivity of the live format redefines metrics of engagement, monetization, and the long-term sustainability of digital brands.

The methodology combines a systematic review of academic literature on parasocial interaction theory, platform economics, and digital community loyalty with observational analysis grounded in more than fifteen years of the author's continuous practice in the live streaming industry. The empirical dataset draws on Twitch and Kick platform data spanning 2009 to 2026: 699 million total minutes watched, a peak concurrent audience of 236,284 viewers, and an average live audience of 12,272.

The findings indicate that the live format f...
