The primary aim of the journal is to publish high-quality, robust research that explores the diagnostic potential, technological advancements, and clinical applications of imaging modalities.

Our distinctive focus. SJRIR serves as a scholarly platform for disseminating systematic analyses and original research focused on enhancing diagnostic accuracy, optimizing image processing, and improving patient management across the spectrum of medical imaging.
Scope — Thematic Areas
The journal’s scope is comprehensive, inviting rigorous original research and systematic reviews that investigate the following key areas:

Thematic area Representative topics
Advanced Imaging Techniques In-depth studies on the potential and application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), including structural MRI (T1-weighted and T2-weighted), functional MRI (fMRI), diffusion MRI, and specialized quantitative techniques such as Proton Density Fat Fraction (PDFF).
Technological Integration & Artificial Intelligence Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in radiology — automation of medical image processing (image normalization, quality improvement, noise reduction), AI-driven lesion detection, and advanced analysis such as automated segmentation, volumetric calculations, and functional analysis.
Radiological Contrast Agents Pharmacological aspects of imaging, including investigations into the properties, efficacy, and safety of contrast agents, with a specific focus on materials such as Gadolinium used to enhance MRI visualization.
Clinical Applications & Diagnostics — Neuroradiology Identification of epileptogenic zones and the detection of structural brain lesions such as tumors, scar tissue, hemorrhages, and vascular malformations.
Clinical Applications & Diagnostics — Hepatology Non-invasive assessment and quantification of liver disorders, particularly hepatic steatosis (fatty liver).
Clinical Applications & Diagnostics — Oncology & Vascular Imaging Detection and diagnosis of tumors, blood clots, inflammation, and other pathological changes across various organ systems.
All submissions must fall within the journal’s scope and adhere to the Author Guidelines and Publication Ethics. Manuscripts outside the scope are returned without external review.
