About This Journal
Learn more about the journal, its editorial focus and research coverage.
IJCS publishes both practical outcomes and proposed methodologies addressing challenges in these areas, provided the work demonstrates evidence of usefulness and effectiveness. Application-focused papers are encouraged; however, they must present novel implementations or approaches that improve the performance and outcomes of the specific application domain compared to existing methods. Such papers should clearly articulate the uniqueness of the solution, provide robust evidence of its effectiveness, and include an in-depth analysis of the methods employed.
The journal accepts the following types of articles:
Original Research Articles: These include fundamental or applied research that provides compelling motivation, demonstrates relevance to communication science and society, and highlights what is novel and distinct about the work compared to prior research. Submissions should address the scientific impact of the work, include all necessary evidence (such as data and proofs), and discuss its connections to existing literature.
Review Articles: Review papers should offer a comprehensive and principled analysis of significant existing and emerging research areas. Submissions must clearly position the papers findings and articulate key scientific issues of interest to the research community in communication science and society studies.
