The International Islamic Medical Journal (IIMJ) is a peer-reviewed journal published by Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Surabaya (UNUSA) and established by the Faculty of Medicine, UNUSA, Indonesia, in collaboration with the Forum Kedokteran Islam (FOKI) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Founded as a scholarly platform for education, research dissemination, and intellectual discourse among health professionals, IIMJ focuses on diverse topics in clinical medicine, medical ethics, professionalism, Islamic medical perspectives, and developments in basic and applied medical sciences. The journal aims to bridge the gap between modern scientific knowledge and Islamic values in medical practice and research.
The International Islamic Medical Journal (IIMJ) publishes scholarly articles from diverse perspectives, including literature reviews, field studies, and empirical research related to medical sciences and Islamic perspectives in healthcare. The journal serves as an academic platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners to disseminate scientific findings and innovations that connect modern medical science with Islamic ethical and philosophical values.

IIMJ welcomes high-quality manuscripts that address, but are not limited to, the following areas:

Islamic Medical Education
Studies on medical curricula, teaching strategies, and professional identity formation that integrate Islamic values, ethics, and spirituality in medical learning and practice.
Islamic Medical Ethics
Discussions on ethical and moral issues in medicine, including bioethics, end-of-life care, reproductive health, organ transplantation, and professional conduct viewed from an Islamic framework.
Clinical Medicine and Islamic Perspectives
Research and case studies on clinical practices, diagnostic approaches, and patient care that reflect both scientific rigor and sensitivity to Islamic ethical principles and cultural contexts.
Islamic Medical Development and Implementation
Analyses of the evolution and implementation of Islamic medical concepts, traditional and prophetic medicine (thibbun nabawi), health policy, and integration of faith-based approaches in modern healthcare systems.
Medical Developments and Research in Basic Medical Sciences
