Ethnomathematics Journal is an international open-access forum that publishes research reports, theoretical review, ideas, or innovations in mathematics education including ethnomathematics referring to the works of D'Ambroisio and colleagues. The journal views mathematics as a cultural and human activity shaped by social practices, historical development, and diverse knowledge systems.

Ethnomathematics examines mathematical ideas and practices embedded in cultural traditions, indigenous knowledge, and everyday activities such as counting, measuring, designing, and problem-solving. By connecting formal mathematics with learners’ cultural experiences, ethnomathematics promotes inclusive, meaningful, and culturally responsive mathematics education.
