About This Journal

The Biodiversitas Journal was first published in 2000 by the Department of Biology, FMNS, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, Indonesia, then in 2006 it was co-published by the Society for Indonesian Biodiversity and that department; since 2017 it was also hosted by Smujo. From 2003-2012 it was accredited by DGHE, Ministry of Education, R.I., since 2014 was indexed by Scopus, where Google Scholar was indexed first. Lastly, it is also indexed by Microsoft Academic Search and EBSCO.
Aims and Scope Biodiversitas, Journal of Biological Diversity or abbreviated as Biodiversitas encourages submission of manuscripts dealing with all biodiversity aspects of plants, animals, and microbes at the level of the gene, species, and ecosystem as well as ethnobiology.
Article types The journal seeks for: (i) Research papers, (ii) Reviews, and (iii) Short communications. Original full-length research manuscripts are limited to 8,000 words (including tables and figures) or proportional to articles in this publication number (beyond that, it should be with notice). Review articles are also limited to 8,000 words, while Short communications should be less than 2,500 words, except for pre-study (can be more).
